DNS Lookup Utility

dig (domain information groper) is a flexible tool for interrogatingDNS name servers. It performs DNS lookups and displays the answers thatare returned from the name server(s) that were queried.

Dig lookups will show the DNS records for the given host or domain. Lookups for network address, mail exchanger, name servers, host information, arbitrary strings and zone of authority records.
